Helpline

The University uses both an online case management system and a third-party phone line, to provide the Rutgers community with an anonymous reporting mechanism, the Rutgers Compliance Helpline. Compliance concerns can be filed anonymously 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-833-783-8442 or by submitting an online report.

If you don’t feel comfortable raising a concern with your supervisor or manager (or if your concern relates to them, or if you have previously told them but the concern has not been remedied), there are several ways you can report your concern:

  • Report the issue to your supervisor/manager’s direct manager
  • Report the issue through one of the specialized reporting mechanisms at Rutgers which may be found in the Compliance Directory.
  • Report the issue through this helpline

Reporting specifically for the Protection of Minors and Title IX violations have separate reporting portals:

If you are not sure how to report a concern, or are not even sure if a concern is worth reporting, you may call University Ethics and Compliance, at (973) 972-8000. Our office can offer guidance as to the most appropriate reporting mechanism.

If you have questions relating to a bill received by Rutgers Health, please call 866.470.6626.
